Our team and mission
Under the direct authority of the Future Launchers Prepatory Programme (FLPP) Head of Technology Disruptors, which is responsible for leading the implementation of FLPP Core Element technology activities. The team is mainly responsible for: technology disruptors; generic technology project roadmaps; FIRST! and other FLPP technology initiatives; subscale demonstrations; being the interface with academia and new actors; technology push/scouting; and the organisation of prizes, challenges and grants.

Field(s) of activity/research for the traineeship
As an ESA Gradaute Trainee in the FLPP Technology Disruptors team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to:
- The identification, evaluation and maturation of Technology Disruptors for future space transportation missions;
- The elaboration and management of methodologies for technology assessment;
- The elaboration and management of technology roadmaps;
- Creating and managing technology and industry databases;
- Creating and managing visualisation tools for technology activities;
- Following technology maturation activities contracted to industry;
- Preparing reviews and key-points;
- Supporting the preparation of FLPP events and pitch days.

Education
You should have just completed, or be in the final year of your master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline.
Additional requirements
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in international teams can be considered an asset. Your motivation, overall professional perspective and career goals will also be explored during the later stages of the selection process.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
